Veer’s copywriters aren’t paid enough.
Every once in a while at DayJob®, we get a print catalog from veer.com. They’re a stock photography, font and design company that is way too cool for their own good. (that recent line of helvetica products was them).
Today I discovered something in their font section that had totally escaped me (this being the first time I’ve had to wait so long to get to the hot water for tea)… it’s punny. Or at least groan-worthy. The fonts - well, the copy they use to display them - are actually pretty amusing.
“NACHTMUSIK - Noise ordinance in effect daily at 10 pm.”
“That Lovin’ Feelin’ - If found, please return to Miss Charlotte Blackwood.”
My personal favorite was, of course -
“Hit Songs of the ’20s and ’30s Box Set - ‘A Sobering Prohibition-era collection’”
